So if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen what event got me making these bars. It wasn’t a pleasant event and I am still considering what I am going to do about it.
My little guy James told a boy in school that the bar he brought to school which was a shop bought bar was full of sugar and that he shouldn’t be eating it.
Our granny who is minding the boy and collects them from school was then approached by the teacher tell her about what James said, basically asking to tell James he shouldn’t tell the others that their food is bad for them. I do understand that James maybe shouldn’t have given out about the food others eat but the point is that it is school policy that the kids are not allowed sugary treats in school and James obviously wanted a bar himself when he was telling the other kid it was full of sugar.
He asked me to make him some granola bars and so I did.
I don’t think James was at fault though because the other boy shouldn’t have brought those bars as they are not allowed but yet the other boy’s parents were not approached. I think I will have to talk to the teacher. What do you think?
Anyway back to granola bars. These are refined sugar free full of nutrients from our beloved goji berries and chia seeds and make a great snack whether to enjoy with your coffee for elevenses or have for breakfast.
